About US
Founded by husband-and-wife Melanie Abrams Fierstein and Matt Fierstein, Melaniewood runs on a love of books, film & television.
Melanie is a film & TV writer whose passion for books led her to develop 19 bestselling novels for the screen, and Matt is an award-winning editor with a keen eye for marketing international hit stories (Frozen, Moana, Coco, Incredibles 2). Our goal is to connect authors - from first-time novelists to bestsellers - with studios and producers who care about their work. We option vibrant novels, from eclectic whodunnits to tense dramas, blockbuster thrillers to female-forward soaps, and grow them into prestige studio packages with the author's full participation. Our goal is to ensure that authors feel their work is in safe hands - because it is. We have optioned projects in development with major studios and production companies across the globe.
